If you love cheese, you will love the Caravan Club’s site at Cheddar. The village in Somerset makes one of the most famous fromages in the world, so staying here is a delight if you want to learn more about it, try all different kinds or just explore the fantastic Somerset countryside. The Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company’s shop and dairy are the first places to visit and will happily show you how they make it. The underground limestone cathedrals that are Cheddar Caves and Gorge cannot be missed off any trip to the area either.
In terms of the caravan site itself, it has a lot to offer and is a good quality 65-pitch park with high-quality amenities and a mix of hardstanding and grass plots. As well as a family washroom there is a toilet block and waste disposal service, while laundry facilities are also provided and Wi-Fi connectivity is also available. Pets are allowed and Cheddar is just a few minutes’ walk away.
Pitch fees at Cheddar start at £5.95 in off season and increase to £8.85 in high season, with the site charging per person on top of this. For adults it costs between £5.40 and £7.10, while children’s rates range between £1.55 and £2.55.
